Smithville Garden Club’s Historic Tour of Homes
For nearly five decades, the Smithville Garden Club has hosted one of our town’s most beloved traditions: the Historic Tour of Homes. Since its debut in 1976, this annual event has become a cornerstone of Smithville’s fall festivities—offering locals and visitors alike the chance to step inside some of our most beautiful and historic homes. Held every year on the second Saturday of November, this cherished tour celebrates Smithville’s rich heritage while supporting a wonderful community cause.
Stop by the Railroad Museum and Visitor’s Center (open 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.) to buy your Tour of Homes tickets before setting out to explore!
Smithville Stitchers Quilt Show
At the Smithville Church of Christ, the talented members of the Smithville Stitchers Quilt Guild will be hosting their Airing of the Quilts event showcasing their intricate quilts and hosting a traditional bed turning—a storytelling event that brings fabric and history to life.
Smithville Pie Social — A Sweet New Tradition!
Making its debut this year, the Smithville Pie Social invites everyone to gather for an old-fashioned slice of community fun. Local bakers will be showing off their recipes and techniques, competing for the title of best pie (and a cash prize!). Come taste, visit, and celebrate this delicious new tradition.
Fall Festival at First United Methodist Church
The First United Methodist Church will host its annual Fall Festival, complete with a quilt raffle and plenty of family-friendly fun.
